Vocal Tuning
Manual pitch correction of the vocal track using Melodyne software. We not only keep the vocals as natural as possible, but we also make sure that every move we make with a note perfectly works with the song and actually enhances the overall performance. We use our ears to find the best place for each note, making sure it’s perfectly pitched, sits well in the mix, and is emotionally affecting to the listener. Depending on your needs, we can make a subtle correction to the pitch or transform the singer into a polished performer who hits every note to perfection.
Vocal Timing
We find any timing problems in the main vocal track and fix them. All timing adjustments are made by ear. We listen to how each note works with the groove of the song. Without the use of auto-alignment software, we can manually align all your vocal stacks (such as doubles and backs) to the main vocal track. This helps us to maintain the natural, organic sound of your vocals throughout the process of editing.
Vocal Comping
The best recorded vocal takes are chosen and compiled together into one single track. From all provided vocal takes, we will also compile doubles and backs that work well with the main vocal for those parts of the song where it’s needed. At this stage we make some slight adjustments with the timing by moving comped regions. At the next stage of timing correction, this helps to avoid destructive editing.
